Dr Johannes Widodo, a lecturer at the National University of Singapore, is an experienced practitioner in the field of heritage and conservation. Whether holding forth in a lecture hall, or having a conversation with the poeple on the streets that he traverses, his passion for preserving every aspect of heritage is evident in his dedication to getting to the heart of the matter.

Highlights

Over the past year Melaka in Fact has been doing cultural mapping in Melaka. The talk highlighted part of its content. It also highlighted the importance of conservation in maintaining the cosmopolitan heritage and history of Melaka.

Melaka in Fact was honoured to present Dr. Widodo as the speaker of our fourth Tawarikh Talk, entitled, “The Future of the Past: Conserving the DNA of a Cosmopolitan Hybrid of Melaka”.
